well, nev has experienced some new "firsts" again. she entertained her first group of friends at the house last weekend (courtney and jessica berman, along with mom, lori, and maya vogelson, along with mom, amy). they played inside together and then all went swimming too! i dunked nev underwater again and so far she is okay with it! they all seemed to have a great time and lori and amy both have such cute and well behaved children! it is so much fun to have a group for her to play with! phoenix, our dog, was really happy to have them over too and thought it was even better when all the kids were eating lunch as she got lots of snacks!
nev also is into trying to crawl over to phoenix. phoenix just gets up and moves and doesn't seem too thrilled that nev is now crawling! however, phoenix doesn't mind hanging around when nev is eating. nev will also crawl over to me and try to crawl onto my lap. it is really cute and i love knowing that she wants to be near me! it is a great feeling! she will also crawl from the living area into the kitchen so she can hang out with me while i cook or clean up the kitchen. she still isn't super fast but everyday she gets a little more efficient!
another first, is that nev has a cold. she has a low fever, runny nose and a little bit of a cough. she was not too happy last night but seems to be doing better today. it is sad to see her not feel 100% though.
this weekend, nev will also experience her first real sleepover at grandma and grandpa black's house. joe and i are going to stay at a local resort one night to celebrate our upcoming 8 year anniversary (aug. 12th)! keep your fingers crossed that it all goes well!
last, nev has started to use even more syllables and sounds. she will say ma ma ma ma and ba ba ba, and ge ge ge over and over. it is cute and fun to hear the new noises!
