wow...it is hard to believe that nev is already 6 months old! i always think that her current age is the best until she is moves into the next month and then i change my mind! so i guess i could say it just gets better and better each day!
this past couple of days were really fun...grandma babysat one day while i worked out. aunt stacey, grandma marsha, nev and i all went to the children's museum on friday afternoon and had a blast! i think the 3 adults had more fun than nev at this stage. we played in the 0-3 year old room, went to the pretend grocery store and pretend restaurant where grandma made pizza! there was a lot to look at and enjoy. nev was so tired afterwards and was asleep almost immediately upon getting into the car. i put a bunch of photos up of our adventure at the museum.
the next day (saturday) she got her 6 month photos taken and did an excellent job! she was all smiles and really liked the woman who was taking her photo! she even met a little boy while we were waiting to view the photos in the lobby. he was also six months old and nev was playing footsie with him! he was so much bigger than her too...she looked so tiny. we did some shopping after the photos and then went to pick up aunt stacey and grandma marsha for some pampering! we went and got pedicures for grandma's birthday! since nev has a facsination with toes she loved watching the woman work on my feet. she sat on my lap almost the entire time and watched!
the yesterday, we celebrated her 6 month birthday and grandma marsha's birthday at the royal palms resort for brunch. we ate at t. cooks restaurant. nev had never actually eaten real (well, cereal and pureed fruit) food out at a restaurant. usually she is asleep in her carseat because we are eating dinner and she is already in bed for the night. anyway, she got to sit in the high chair and eat at the table with the rest of us. she loved it and of course had to put on a show! then i tried to put her in her carseat for a nap and she was not happy about missing out on the fun. she cried for awhile until i finally decided to take her back out and then she was happy again! after she took a nap we went over to grandma and grandpa's to swim. she has an exersaucer type toy that she can sit in in the pool. she loved it and was kicking her feet under the water.
tomorrow we go for her 6 month well check at the pediatricians. i will keep you posted as to how that goes! i put a bunch of new pictures up...so enjoy!
