boy, oh boy, august has been a busy month! it started with aunt tammy coming into town on the 1st to prepare for her wedding on the 8th! i got to go out to lunch with her and mommy at sweet tomatoes and show off my swimming skills to her! then, the weather has been cooler in the morning so mommy has been taking me on runs in the morning again! i love to see the ducks, bunnies, and even saw a horse on the canal recently!
then, aunt stacey watched me for 2 nights in a row due to aunt tammy's wedding. we had so much fun together! she took me for walks and taught me some new songs! and we hung out with boppa and mai too! i was treated to ice cream one day and then mcdonalds cookies the next day! i'm not spoiled at all!
and, in addition to those activities i was able to squeeze in a play date with mommy to the zoo to play in the water area and a playdate with my new friend, ava albanese (aunt tammy's niece)! i showed ava and about 10 other of their family members I (including a 2-month old baby that i loved to look at) how i jump into the pool and swim to mommy. i also showed them how i swim, float, and swim until i find a step or mommy. they were all very impressed!
due to all of my activities i have started sleeping in longer again (plus, i like to play in my crib at night too). i sleep until 6:30 or even 7am again. i finished my swimming lessons too so i don't have to get up early for those anymore.
i have started saying a few 3 and 4 word phrases...i hate to admit it but "no more poo poo" is the most common one i say. i like to practice going over the parts on a face (eyes, ears, nose, etc.) and i like to look at pictures and practice saying who is in them. one of my new favorite songs is the "itsy bitsy spider" and i can do the hand movements somewhat! i also carry around a blanket a lot more now and have had to take one to school with me a few times. i don't have one specific blanket that i'm attached to, although i do have a few favorites. i also like to hug a stuffed animal at night when falling asleep. i like to lay on the carpet at boppa and mai's house and have other people lay down on the floor next to me. then i make everyone copy me and do leg lifts! i laugh at everyone and have a good time. i also love to ask people to sit next to me and like it if they sit really close. i am very into carrying a purse and will put it over my shoulder and say "go" and walk to the door. i am trying to say "have a nice day" and "see you later" when i pretend to leave but it is still not very clear yet. i do sign language to say "i love you" and love to blow kisses to people. i am still very happy and daddy knows my tickle spots and gets me to laugh so loud that it makes mommy and daddy laugh really hard too! i still love to play chase and jet is always a good sport and will play this with me...especially if i have a snack in my hand!
