nev can now pull herself all the way up by herself! she did it this morning using our ottoman thinking she could get the gatorade bottle that was up there! she can still use some practice but is definitely better than a week ago. she also pretty much can stand flat on her feet and touch her toes...well, maybe it is more like the "downward dog" yoga pose except she pulls her feet in too far toward her hands.
she has fed herself a few rice puffs now too. it is fun to watch her think as she tries to get it into her mouth. phoenix thinks it is fun too because if she misses she gets to clean up the scraps on the floor! phoenix and nev are becoming better friends (thanks to daddy). joe has been working with phoenix to let nev crawl around her and even touch her. so far as long as phoenix knows she will get a treat she is all for the training sessions!
the weather has been a bit nicer on some days so we have been able to go for more family runs. today i even attempted to take nev and phoenix by myself. for those of you who have not met phoenix...let's just say she could easily pull anyone of us while running...at least for a short distance. today's run went really well though! phoenix heeled by the jogging stroller almost the entire time! :) we ran to grandma and grandpa black's house to say "good morning" and walked with them down to their gym for a workout!
one of nev's favorite pasttimes is to play with the little holes in the concrete floor (where previous flooring had been). she studies them for quite some time before getting bored or moving on the the next hole!
