One week ago today (around this time 1:30 PM MST), Joe and I were at the hospital and they were admitting me since my water had broken at 11:30 AM. Yes, it took us two hours before going to the hospital because I wanted to take a shower and get something to eat first. Anyway, last Sunday evening Nev Leone Herzog was born and it has been an exciting adventure over the last week. I have learned when Nev is hungry by her cry and actions, learned to wait until after she "beeps" a few times (beeps= fart) before checking her diaper, and also that she likes to be sung too. She loves to be held by Grandma Marsha and likes to make little squeaking noises that make Joe and I laugh. She has been turning her head from one side to the other during "tummy time" and rolls over if she has something to push against like Joe's hand. She went to her first pediatrician appointment on Thursday, January 24th and they said she is very healthy. In addition, she has now grown to 19 inches and weighs 6 lbs. 2 ounces. She went on her first walk with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa Black, Aunt Stacey, "sister" Phoenix and "cousin" Duncan (Stacey and Mark's dog) yesterday around the neighborhood and slept the whole time. It was quite a parade! She looks different everyday and we are loving every minute with her!
