nev is getting to be even more fun to play with everyday! she likes to look at herself in the mirror during tummy time and seems to watch everything that is going on around her. she also just started playing with her feet and toes. she has been trying to grab them for awhile and she finally succeeded today!
she practices sitting up (with support behind her of course) outside in the grass and likes to feel the grass between her toes! phoenix likes to come outside when we are sitting in the grass and "show off" for nev by rolling around on her back and kicking her legs in the air. nev likes to watch her move around and will follow her from one side of the yard with her eyes to the other side! then phoenix will come lay down in front of us and nev and phoenix just stare at each other!
nev is also pretty "chatty." she will make her coos, gurgles, etc. and then will wait for a moment...so i will imitate her noises. then, she will start smiling and making more sounds. we go back and forth this way like we are having a conversation. it is fun!
nev has also been pretty consistent with her daily schedule over the last few weeks. she naps 3 times a day for anywhere from 1-2 hours and eats about 4-5 times a day. she wakes up once during the night (actually during the day) usually around 4 or 5 A.M. and then will go back to bed until around 7 A.M. it is so nice getting continous sleep again! she just recently started an earlier bedtime as she was getting too tired waiting to start her bedtime routine at 6 P.M....so we now start at 5:30 P.M. i was worried that she would wake up earlier but it hasn't effected her at this point.
last weekend she got to spend an entire day with dad (from 8am to 2am) since i was volunteering at a charity event all day/night. they both had a good time and were able to bond together! dad even did a nice job keeping her on her daily schedule. lately they have been enjoying "flying" together (see may photos for pictures)...it is so cute to watch!
