i turned 3 years old on thursday, january 20th! i had my birthday party on saturday, january 15th at the phoenix zoo to celebrate with my friends and family! we got to decorate animal masks as a craft, eat pizza and cake, and see 5 different animals/insects during an animal presentation! we saw a hissing cockroach (mommy wasn't too excited about this one), a bearded lizard (this was mommy's favorite), an orange snake, a turtle and a ferret! we got to touch the snake, turtle and ferret! i had a great time and received a lot of very nice gifts! thank you to everyone!
in addition to my birthday this month i have been busy! i went hiking with mommy, daddy and jet at dreamy draw park! we hiked about 2 miles! after the hike we saw some horses getting ready to go for a ride in the mountains and the owner let me ride on one! her name was spice and it was lots of fun!
i also have helped getting the nursery ready for my baby brother! i helped aunt she she adjust the height of the crib and helped mommy wash and sort some clothes for him to wear! i told mom that i am going to sing songs to my baby brother and read to him. i am very good at taking care of my own baby dolls so i will do a great job with my baby brother! when i play with my dolls i talk in a sweet voice, pat them on the back, change their diapers, tuck them in and comfort them when they cry!
i have moved up into the preschool class at gymnastics! i am with the bigger girls now! i have learned a lot of new things and love to use the bars! i also like to jump into the foam pit! i do a good job at listening to coach cindy and waiting my turn (most of the time)!

i have gotten good at using my manners (again, most of the time) and like to point out when i'm using my manners. i will also remind other people if they forget to use their manners at times.
i sleep from about 8pm until 6:30-7:30am. i still take one nap during the day for 1-3.5 hours. in the morning when i wake up i like to crawl into mom and dad's bed and cuddle for the last hour! i really like to cuddle! sometimes when i crawl into bed i will say to mommy, "i love you babycakes!" and then i will give mommy a kiss on her cheek! it makes mommy really happy! i love to tell mommy and daddy that i love them and that they are my best friends!
some of the interesting things i say include:
**snowflakes = frosted flakes
**i'm going to soft you = i'm going to pet you (jet, my doggy)
**old macdonalds = the restaurant mcdonalds
**ding dong = well, you can figure that one out for a male body part!
at my 3 -year old check up i weighed 27 lbs. (10th percentile) and was 36.5 inches tall (37th percentile). i am the same height mommy was when she was 3 years old. she weighed more than me though! i had my blood pressure taken for the first time and was told it was very good, 90/58!
i enjoy walking to starbuck's or luci's marketplace on the weekends for breakfast. i also like to "exercise" i tell mommy! deacon and luci are my favorite friends at school. i told mommy that i live in a castle and that deacon is my prince. i told her that he might get me a necklace or watch! i think i am a princess and like princess things right now. i also enjoy playing with devyn and gavin fernandes and jason droge after school. they live next to me so we will all play together sometimes! devyn and gavin got a motorized cadillac escalade for christmas so we drive around in the yard in it. i'm learning to drive already!
i get owies a lot on my knees and sometimes i cry and other times i tell mom that "i'm okay" or "i'm tough." i tell her that "it will heal." i have lots of facial expressions and understand more than mommy and daddy think sometimes. i can carry on a conversation on the phone (if i'm in the right mood to talk) and pretend i'm calling aunt she she a lot!
i like to have my fingernails and toenails painted and most of the time i want them the match the color mommy has. i can sit real still for mommy to paint my nails or even at the nail salon!
within the next few weeks i will be moving to a new classroom at school for big 3-year olds! i hope luci and i get to go to the same class! we have so much fun together and get along really well!
i'm going to have a slumber party with boppa and mai mai for a few nights soon while mommy and daddy go to boston! i will also have a slumber party with aunt she she one night too! i'm excited!
