today is my 2nd birthday! wow...it is hard to believe! i have lots of things to update you on! where should i begin? i can count to 11, name my colors and point them out, name animals, point them out and make the sound they make. i state the name of my friends at school and my teachers. i have two best friends in my class...both named luci! i ask mommy and daddy in the morning if i am going to see my friends that day. i will be aging up into the 2-year old classroom next week with one of the luci's from my class. AND, i will be in the same room as my friend, maya, for about 3 weeks until she ages up into the 3-year old class! i am so excited about getting to be in maya's classroom!
i love to sing the abc's (no, i don't get the whole song correct...but the beginning is pretty good) and twinkle twinkle little star. i am pretty good at getting most of the lyrics to this song if someone sings with me!
i love to play hide-n-seek or "find daddy" as we play a lot! i ask jet to play with me too sometimes and she will chase me around the room! i giggle like crazy when she chases me! i love wagon (aka buggy rides...like they call it at school) rides, playing outside, and playing with my baby dolls. i like to carry them around, sometimes sleep with them, feed them and change the diaper!
i am still very into checking out the shoes people are wearing and love to accessorize with a purse! in fact, i like to pretend i am getting ready to leave the house for the day by getting my purse and telling mommy and daddy, "bye-bye, love you, see you!" then i pretend to leave and do it over and over again!
i call mommy and daddy by their real names sometime and imitate how they call each other. for example, at night when i am going to bed i always end up wanting some water...so mommy will say, "hey joey, can you bring me some water please?" so i imitate this by saying, "hey joey...water please?" then i smile because i think i am funny! in the morning i will alternate saying, "mommy....marcie...mommy" when i want to get up for the day!
i am getting good at having a conversation and can tell the story of how i got my "owies." my teacher even said i am good at making conversation and when mommy asked if i talk a lot she smiled and said "yes." i can also be very bossy and especially like to order aunt she she around. i like to make sure she is sitting next to me or helping me clean the floor. i also order mai mai around by saying, "mai mai...come here" when i want her to play with me in another room! and, of course, i boss my sister (dog), jet, around. i tell her "jet, no barking" or "jet...kennel."
i am very curious and will ask "this?" when i want to know what something is...which is a lot of the time! then i usually repeat back what the word was that i just learned!
mommy had a parent/teacher conference today at school and miss meghan stated that i am very social, intelligent, and helpful! mommy told me she was proud of me!
i have started becoming even more interested in going potty in a toilet. i went pee-pee in my potty chair over the weekend! i also have sat on the big potty before and tooted a few times! i always use my manners and say "fishy" (aka excuse me). otherwise, i just like to sit on it and nothing happens! flushing the toilet afterwards and washing my hands are a favorite of mine in the process! i like to wash my hands a lot regardless of going the potty! i also will tell mommy if i have gone poo-poo (not all of the time) but when i do tell her she has always found i am telling the truth!
i now go to bed around 6:30-7pm. i sometimes go to bed earlier but i am able to make it a bit later these days! i still love to read books before bed and sing and will try to stall during these activities so i can stay up later!
on friday i go to the doctor for my well-check. so my stats will be coming later! i do have 11 teeth now and the 12th one is coming in!
