today i am celebrating grandma marsha's birthday and my half (18 mo.) birthday! i had a busy day...swim lessons, my well check doctor appointment, phoenix zoo water play, and a mexican lunch! i got to enjoy most of the day with grandma and grandpa black! they went with me to the zoo and watched me have so much fun running around in the water playing with mommy! then, grandpa treated us to birthday lunch at a mexican restaurant! i was a big ham at lunch showing off for boppa (grandpa cal) and mai (i call grandma marsha mai sometimes).
earlier today i had my 18 month check-up. i weigh 21 lbs. 3 oz (still barely on the scale at the 8th percentile) and am 31.75 inches long (50th percentile...so that is better)! i have another ear infection and a cough so i wasn't able to get my vaccinations today...darn! i now have a 35-40 word vocabulary with some 2 word phrases ("no mine" is my favorite phrase)! i am also in a biting phase. if someone takes a toy away from me ,or i do not like the answer given to me, i have been known to bite someone. the doctor told mommy it is common at this age but she is trying to teach me to stop!
other than that it has been very hot lately. i tell to mommy "hot" when we go outside. however, because it has been hot i have been treated to my first ice cream sundae and chocolate milkshake recently! i barely came up for air with the milkshake it was so good! plus, i love to drink out of a straw so that was fun too! summertime isn't too bad!
