nev had a new babysitter this past week...grandpa cal! he watched her all by himself so i could go to the dentist! he did a great job and has agreed to watch her again! nev likes to turn on the charm for grandpa cal...so i am sure that helps!
the weather is starting to get a little bit nicer so we will be able to start going hiking more. nev and i met my friend abra and her dog, luci, today for a quick hike. nev was really excited and kept kicking her legs all around! she wore herself out though because for the last 30 minutes she fell asleep.
this past week, we also hosted our first MOMS Club of Arcadia play group. it was a lot of fun and it is great to see the kids interact with one another. nev shared her toys and was worn out afterwards as she took a really long nap! we are part of the 0-18 month old play group so it is all babies crawling and walking around...very cute! we look forward to hosting again!
nev also helped me take care of aunt stacey's cat while she was on vacation. she is used to phoenix (our dog) but doesn't get to see a cat very often. zibby, the cat, put on a show for nev one day by doing some tricks. nev got a kick out of it and was smiling and laughing at her! it was fun!
next week nev, joe, and i leave for bloomington, illinois. joe won "young alum of the year" award for his undergraduate alma mater (illinois wesleyan university) so we will go back for his award ceremony. we will get to see grandma and grandpa herzog as well as aunt beth, uncle rob and cousins...mia and elle! we are looking forward to it!
