nev got to go on a nice morning walk today with grandpa cal and mommy. we started at grandpa's house and walked over to dreamy draw park which is part of the phoenix mountain preserve. it was a little chilly to start so nev had on her new, colorful shawl (thanks to aunt stacey) and she looked so adorable in it. we got in just over 4 miles and then we decided to go eat at the resort restaurant "a hole in the wall" by grandma and grandpa black's house. nev enjoyed sitting at the table and eating with grandpa and me. she tried some new foods too...part of a biscuit, part of fried bread (not the healthiest but fun to try nonetheless), and cottage cheese. she got to order some pancakes off the kids menu also! she was trying to charm all of the restaurant staff and loved watching the birds look for scraps of food on the ground (obviously we sat outside). it was a great morning with grandpa...
