i try to keep a running list of items i want to include in nev's journal so i don't forget...well, i still usually forget things! i am keeping a copy of this journal in her baby book so i am trying to make it as comprehensive as i can. anyway, i forgot to mention in my last entry that nev is trying to say "i love you." it sounds more like "i lahh" but it is obvious (well at least to joe and i) that she is trying to say it back. she is also saying okay as well. it is not super clear but again you can tell what she is saying.
she also knows where her nose, toes, and belly button are. when asked to point to the body part she will either lift her shirt up and touch her belly button or point to the correct part. she has become a bit more of a picky eater lately. she really likes all of her food in "sticks" so she can pick it up and take bites off of it.
she continues to go to bed at 6pm and now sleeps with a blanket over her at nights. she usually goes right to sleep instead of playing in her crib for a little bit. she is also waking up earlier too...anywhere from 6am to 7am.
her teachers continue to report that she loves singing and dancing. she really enjoys the visits with the grandfriends each week (a group of people from an assisted living center are across the parking lot and part of the same campus as the daycare). they sing together and sometimes someone will play the piano too! apparently nev is a big hit at these events!
nev is also into "reading" these days. she will sit down and read the book to herself and also will bring it over to joe or i to have one of us read it as well. she pulls her alligator and puppy toys behind her each morning and gets a big kick out of the fact that they are "following" her. it is funny! you can see how proud she is by the expression on her face!
she also continues to love rolling around on the bed. she likes to pretend she is going "nigh, nigh" too during our playtime on mommy and daddy's bed. she crawls up herself and can get down on her own too. however, sometimes she decides she wants to roll around and she is on the concrete...not such a good thing!
well, so much for a quick update! this weekend we will have easter brunch at our house with an easter egg hunt for nev! we are looking forward to it!
