nev turned 5 months old this past friday, june 20th! she is so entertaining these days! she will make motor boat noises with her tongue and then growl really loud too! of course we laugh so she keeps doing it! she loves to have her belly kissed and will start laughing! she also likes to giggle when daddy tickles her!
she started pureed food last week on the 19th and had carrots to start for a few days! she liked them and today she gets to move on to sweet potatoes! she also has been enjoying oatmeal instead of rice cereal all the time too! i can't believe how much she can eat! she likes to grab the spoon and put it in her mouth and bite the spoon for awhile. she also likes to suck on her fingers after she gets some food in her mouth! she ends up pretty messy!
her naps routine has changed as she will usually only nap for a hour at a time but will take 3-4 of them throughout the day. her night sleeping has also been a bit unpredictable lately too. she used to get up around 3:30am to eat and then would sleep until 7am. this last week she has been waking up between 11pm - midnight and also one more time during the night. i only feed her when she wakes up the second time and then she will sleep again until about 6:30am.
her grandpa cal and grandma marsha are now in phoenix. they arrived on thursday, june 19th and have been staying with us until the moving van arrives with their furniture. it has been nice having them around and she loves to show off for them by smiling, laughing, and babbling to them!
she also started having a babysitter at the pool while i workout. kassidy, one of the age group swimmers and her best friend, katie, babysit nev and the coaches two kids during the masters swim practice. it is so nice to have someone onsite watching her so i can swim without interruption. plus, it is now way too hot for her to be outside so she gets to hang out in one of the air conditioned rooms.
she attended another birthday party (but her first one at peter piper pizza) yesterday for courtney berman! she watched her friend, maya vogelson, play some of the games and all the other kids run around! it was very exciting!
this weekend she gets to meet one of my best friends, "aunt" tammy and "uncle" mike who are flying in from boston! we can't wait!
