i turned 19 months old this past thursday! i continue to soak up new information everyday. i have a few new hobbies...cleaning, throwing trash away, and practicing what features are on a face (i.e. ears, nose, hair, mouth, etc.). i also have been picky at times if something is not in order (i.e. my books not being straight on the table next to my chair). i continue to read a lot and can now match the object on the page with the corresponding button on the side of the book. the button even says the name of the object! it is fun and rewarding!
i also definitely know my family members by name when i see them in person. i will say "hi bapa" or "hi she she!" i also like to call myself "neh neh." i say "mommy" all the time. i say it whenever i want something even if what i want is not mommy. i like to talk on my cell phone and will answer with "hello" sometimes and before hanging up i always say "bye bye." i like to tell jet to "jump" and she will jump real high in the air and grab a ball that daddy is holding!
i am now very good at using my spoon when eating and can use a fork sometimes too. i get real excited sometimes when i get a lot of food on the spoon and will form my mouth in the shape of an "O" and will act silly saying "OHHHHHHH!"
last week i attended a bake sale at aunt she she's (aka stacey) workplace. i bought a cookie of "mai mai's" (aka grandma marsha) and a peanut butter ball of someone from the office! they were both delicious!
today i get to meet one of mommies friends and swim teammate from the university of illinois, emily wang. emily is driving cross country and will stop by for an overnight visit! i love meeting new people! however, recently i have started giving some dirty and suspicious looks to people that i don't know. i do wave and blow kisses to my friend, maya vogleson and her mommy, auntie amy, when they walk by my classroom at "school." it is fun to see them! maya even came over to play and swim yesterday!
the other bit of excitement is that i have a "potty chair" sitting next to the big toilet in mommies bathroom. i like to sit on it fand then close the lid and say "no more poo poo" or "no more pee pee." i have not used it yet but it is fun to practice
